WHAT IS THE BRITISH FRANCHISE ASSOCIATION?

The British Franchise Association (BFA) is the governing body which exists to uphold ethical standards within franchising in the UK.

Affiliate members “…must show evidence of professional standing; they must submit evidence to show that staff qualified in the profession concerned are experienced in the application of that profession to franchising; and a commitment by a nominated responsible officer to the maintenance of the organisation’s arrangements for providing appropriately experienced advice on franchising to its clients.”

WHY YOU SHOULD USE BFA AFFILIATED ADVISORS

Any advice you seek about franchising should come from a reputable source. Companies that are BFA members represent the professional end of the spectrum. The franchising community is close knit and the BFA is very good at monitoring what is happening in the market place. Companies that are long time members of the BFA are demonstrating a track record of professionalism and high ethical standards.

THE FRANCHISE TRAINING CENTRE AND THE BFA

The Franchise Training Centre has been an active member and key supporter of the BFA since the inception of the business in 1995. Over the years our Directors have held various positions within the BFA including that of Main Board Director. Through training programmes, seminar programmes and invitations to speak at various BFA events we have worked closely with the BFA and fully support its efforts to continue to raise ethical standards within franchising to ever higher levels.
